Join us in Fiji, to Scuba Dive, volunteer in an important marine conservation project, become immersed in a wonderful Fijian culture, and experience this amazing paradise.
You are based near Savusavu on the Northern Fijian island of . Savusavu is known as the ‘hidden paradise’ of Fiji.
There are Four programs to choose from:
Diving package with optional Marine Biology:
1, 2 or 3 weeks. Staying at a stunning 4 star luxury resort (accompanying non diving person program also available), dive the top spots that Fiji is famous world wide for, with both a top Dive centre, and the option of an accompanying marine scientist. more
1. Diving with our Koro Sun Dive centre gives you the opportunity to discover some of the best of the majestic underwater world of Fiji. Only with Koro Sun can you explore the very best of Fijis diving, at both the Namena Marine Reserve and also the Somosomo Straits. With an abundance of exotic fish life and soft and hard corals, when you dive with us you will discover why Fiji is known as the soft Coral capital of the world!
2. Gap Dive Certification, Volunteer Marine Conservation and Fijian Culture:
6 weeks. Aimed for 18-28 year olds, for both those with and those without Diving experience.
This excellent program is highly recommended and combines the very best of Fijian Diving, Culture and volunteering on a marine conservation project
3. Gap Dive Master internship , and Fijian Culture:
6 weeks: limited availability. For divers wishing to become a Dive professional. Take the PADI or SSI divemaster certification, as you learn the ropes in a top resort dive centre.
Take the plunge and make the first step in your dive career and become a PADI Divemaster. Working closely with our PADI Instructor, you''''ll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
4. Marine conservation internship:
6 weeks: You will live with a Fijian family for a minimum of three weeks while conducting a reef study, assisting in the dive shop, and learning about Fijian cultural practices. From the fourth week you may choose to either remain in the village, or move to a nearby eco-tourism resort and commute to the village and reef for further study.
